Where it started
At a young age, I learned what it means when money determines your options.
While studying International Business at the University, my mother went bankrupt due to a series of unfortunate events that determined her life from that moment onwards. What followed were years of financial dependence, legal constraints, and constant stress. It impacted every aspect of both of our lives.
Watching this from close by, I made a promise to myself:
I would become financially independent — so neither I, nor the people I love, would ever be forced into choices because of money.
The Illusion of Security
After my studies, I worked in international project and management roles.
Interesting work. Good income. A solid career path.
Yet I knew: this wouldn’t get me where I wanted to be.
I didn’t want to climb the corporate ladder for decades.
And at that time, I believed money could only be made with money — something I didn’t have. I knew what I wanted. But I had no idea how to get there.
Stepping into Entrepreneurship
In 2007, I took my first real step into entrepreneurship by taking over a Limited (BV) and operating as an independent director for international business development.
Shortly after, I made what seemed like a smart investment decision at the time: buying a newly built apartment in Rotterdam. What I didn’t know, was that this decision would mark the beginning of a long personal and financial crisis.
The Fall
Then the global financial crisis hit. Projects were cancelled all over the world. Business decreased. Within months, my apartment had lost over 30% of its value — before it was even delivered. Selling would mean a six-figure debt. Keeping it meant financial suffocation.
Then came the hardest choice of all: staying in a role that became conflicted with my moral compass — or walking away and losing my income.
I chose integrity.
That choice cost me everything, financially.
Rebuilding
In 2012, I was offered a management role at Nyenrode Business University.
Later, I completed an Executive MBA there.
In 2016, after years of pressure, I sold the apartment and closed that chapter.
No profit. No loss. But freedom.
That moment marked a shift:
I decided I would never again build my life around obligations that limited my freedom.
A New Direction
After corporate leadership roles, including at ING Bank, I chose independence again. But this time with clarity and consciousness. In 2022, I discovered high-ticket e-commerce.
For the first time, I saw a business model that aligned with my values: premium products & service-level, scalable, asset-based, and location-independent.
Since then: I’ve built multiple high-ticket e-commerce stores
Scaled to seven figures in under two years
Became a HTX coach and I'm currently leading HTX at the High Ticket Academy X
Where I Stand Now
Today, I build businesses by design — not by accident.I work selectively.
I value freedom over optics.
And I help others build structures that don’t trap them.
This journey shaped my leadership, my decisions, and my standards.
Everything I share here is built from lived experience — not theory.
And I look forward to helping you do the same.
